Heart children was started by mama Nuru Said in ngalla phase3, we started as a CBO in 2005, we grew up slowly slowly by adding more children and the house got smaller where buy we moved to a rental house at Kasufini village,, we later moved to kijiwetanga, kwa chocha, back to Kasufini and now at ngalla phase 3, in January 2025 we shall be moving to thalathamel where we going a bigger house with a big compound.
Reason of changing houses is we have been renting all along and sometimes landlords take advantage by doubling the rent which we cannot afford.
We have our own plot donated by me to heart children at thalathamel but we have not yet acquired funds to build
4. Spiritual guidance
Children in Heart are brought up in a Christian affiliation. This is because Heart is a Christian based organization whose activities are run through the commitment of LORDSHIP of Jesus Christ as the soul warder. However as per the drop ins, they make a choice of which religion they are based on or follow their guardian religion.
5. Community outreach activities
As Heart continues to work for children who are vulnerable in the community, the institution has developed a strong partnership with the community and the department of child protection center. Through an extensive network with the local authorities we have been able to provide an extensive intervention to our children and also been able to put emphasis on the importance of children living within their family units.
1. Parental care and guidance
Through the development of sustainable environment for children within the Heart family, the institution has strived to help these children achieve their potential abilities and to understand that being vulnerable for one reason or the other is not a fulfillment of their identity. Every individual child has been given the opportunity to basic care plan which will able to change their livelihood through parental guidance and counseling activities. The environment provides emotional and physical support to children who are under her care plan.
2. Education
Excellence education structures are the basic component towards a successful re-integration back to the community. Heart as an institution has an obligation to play through the provision of quality education to her children. Through education children are empowered with ability to create an enabling environment to work in, in future. Heart plays a fundamental role to ensure that this program is accomplished through enabling children to develop into responsible citizens of the country.
3. Primary health care
According to World Health Organization (WHO), health is a state of being physically and emotionally stable. According to the government of Kenya, Health policy is one of the key roles that the government plays to fulfill the safety of her citizens in general. As Heart endeavors to achieve her primary health care services to the children, there is an obligation to play in relevant to that of the government through the health department. Throughout the years, Heart has been able to ensure that children are well served with proper medication and quality feeding program.
On dimensional change Heart looks forward to establish initiatives that will be able to enable her meet the needs of children who are experiencing medical dilemma.

The overarching vision is to create a nurturing and supportive environment where orphaned and vulnerable children can thrive emotionally, spiritually, and socially. The aim is to empower these children to grow into independent and well-rounded individuals who can positively contribute to society.
